Bob and Kathy Myers have owned Pier 1000 since 2004, having purchased it from Kathy’s parents who owned it since 1998. Kathy serves as a daily, onsite manager. Bob takes care of boat sales and brokerage.
Michael Myers and Harold Hillock are the yard management team at Pier 1000. They take charge of all launches, in/out service, haul outs, and all other facets of the outdoors operations. They know all of our boaters personally and ensure the smooth handling of yard operations at the marina.
Our service department can take care of all your boat repair and maintenance needs. Derek Ratke is the Service Manager and Matt Myers is the Parts Manager. Working together, they can quickly assess your needs, schedule service work, and order any parts you may need to keep you on the water all summer long.

Richard Bronson (at Pier 1000 since 2000) is a certified Mercruiser technician specialized in engine tear downs and repairs. He is recently retired, thank you for everything, Rich!
Derek Ratke (at Pier 1000 since 2002) is a certified Mercruiser technician who also specializes in gel coating and woodworking.
Anton Martin (at Pier 1000 since 2011) is our expert boat detailer.

Owners Kathy and Bob Myers are not only onsite managers who personally ensure a smoothly operating marina, but they are also avid boaters who can predict and address your every boating need.
You will be satisfied with our staff, comprehensive marina services, and nearby attractions. The area abounds with both challenging and affordable public golf courses, including the premier destination course, Harbor Shores Golf Club, within walking (or running) distance of Pier 1000. Adding to your boating pleasure, close by you will enjoy walking paths, over 430 biking routes, and some of the best beaches in the world, including Silver Beach and Jean Klock Park.
You can explore the vibrant downtown areas of St. Joseph and a revitalized Benton Harbor, with unique boutiques, restaurants, bars, nightly entertainment, outdoor concerts and cultural events. Several wineries and breweries are in close proximity, so that you can really get a taste of Michigan.
